Petr Vacek is an architect and designer specializing in complex geometry. He transforms intricate visions into functional and aesthetic solutions, whether in architecture, product design, or technological art. Thanks to his deep understanding of geometry, he comprehends geometrically complex shapes and can work with them through all phases from concept and design to realization. In his work, he utilizes computational design, digital fabrication methods, and mass customization. He masters Rhino and Grasshopper at an expert level and programs in Python and C#. He dedicates his time to both authorial creations and collaboration on innovative client projects.
A designer focused on working with glass, jewelry, and ceramics. Through various experiments, he explores and tests the possibilities of materials across these disciplines. His project Sugar Vases received an award at the Czech Design Week festival in 2023. In the same year, he was selected as a finalist of the international RoPlastic Prize competition. In 2022, he was nominated for the Designblok Award for a series of lighting objects created in collaboration with Anna Jožová. In 2020, he received the international Talent Award at the Schmuck fair in Munich. In the past, he has collaborated with brands such as Rako, Beauty Systems, and J&T Bank. His works have been exhibited at Milan Design Week (RoPlastic Prize Exhibition), MK&G in Hamburg, Joya Barcelona, Schmuck Munich, Portheimka Gallery (The Chemistry Gallery), Czech Design Week, Designblok, the POP UP Gallery in the Astra Palace on Wenceslas Square, a POP UP exhibition at Deelive Concept Store, and at Curator Contemporary in Prague.
